Baccarat

HOW TO PLAY:

The Dealer deals two hands, the Player and the Banker.  The hand which has a total of 9 or closest to 9 wins; unless there is a tie. You may bet on:

  • Player
  • Banker
  • Tie
  • Pairs
  • Insurance

Cards 2 to 9 are worth face value. 10s and picture cards (Kings, Queens, and Jacks).  Aces count as 1.  If the total is higher than 9, the first digit is dropped—for example, a hand consisting of 7 and 6 is worth 3.  A hand with 6 and 4 is worth 0, or Baccarat.

When the first two cards dealt to either the Player or Banker have a total of 8 or 9, it is called a “Natural”, and no further cards are dealt.  Otherwise, the Dealer will follow the Table of Play and deal one additional card to either hand.

Note: Insurance is not available in all Baccarat Tables.

PAYOUTS

If you bet on the Player and it wins, you get paid even money.

If you bet on the Banker and it wins, you win even money, less 5% “commission”.

If you bet on a Tie, you get a payout of 8 to 1 if the Banker and Player hands are tied, or of equal value.

If you bet on Pair, you get paid 11 to 1 if either side gets a pair on the first two cards.
