Job purpose

The Corporate Communications Director is responsible for leading and overseeing the Group’s internal and external communications strategy to strengthen corporate reputation, brand credibility, and stakeholder confidence. This role partners closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to develop and execute integrated communication frameworks that support the Company’s long-term strategic objectives. The incumbent safeguards the Group’s reputation across all channels, ensures consistent and disciplined messaging, and provides strategic counsel on corporate positioning, crisis communications, and stakeholder engagement within a complex and highly regulated operating environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure Compliance to Rules and Regulations

  • Ensures compliance with all NagaWorld’s standards or relevant industry standards during all aspects of work
  • Ensures all employees adherence to NagaWorld’s Code of Conduct, Internal Rules, and Regulations at all times

General Job Functions

  • Develops and manages the Corporate Communications departmental budget
  • Monitors cost efficiency and ROI for communication initiatives, PR agencies, and external consultants
  • Provides strategic direction, coaching, and performance management to Corporate Communications team members
  • Builds a high-performing team with strong capabilities in media relations, content development, and stakeholder communication
  • Ensures clear role definition, workload planning, and succession readiness within the function
  • Develops and implements the Group’s corporate communication and reputation management strategy
  • Oversees media relations, press releases, interviews, and crisis communications
  • Support the CEO in developing communication materials for key stakeholders, including government bodies, regulators, and community leaders
  • Oversees corporate branding, corporate narratives, and executive messaging to ensure consistency and credibility
  • Oversees NagaWorld’s digital presence, including website content and official social media channels
  • Manages internal communication including CEO messages, townhalls, and employee engagement communications
  • Oversees NagaWorld’s ESG, CSR, and sustainability communication in alignment with Group strategy
  • Monitors media coverage, public sentiment, and emerging issues, providing timely advice to the CEO / Management
  • Coordinates with Marketing, Investor Relations, HR, Legal, and Business Units to ensure alignment between corporate, employer, and commercial messaging
  • Prepares high-quality management reports, presentations, and briefing materials
  • Any other tasks assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline; equivalent education required
  • Minimum ten (10) years of progressive professional experience in Corporate Communications or Public Affairs, including at least three (3) to five (5) years in a senior leadership capacity, preferably within a listed company or highly regulated environment
  • Proven expertise in media relations, crisis communications, and stakeholder management at corporate and enterprise levels
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with senior management and engage Board-level stakeholders with confidence and credibility
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation capabilities, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and compelling messages
  • Strong strategic thinking, sound judgment, and well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills
  • High standards of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive matters
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines within a high-performance and compliance-driven organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • English Language proficiency and Mandarin Language proficiency is a plus

Working Conditions

This position may require extended working hours and may include evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
