Assistant IT Manager – Technical Services (Network)
Job purpose
Supports network operation and monitors its performance, resolving issues occurred, managing/maintaining server/network hardware and operation systems and address weak area for improvement.
Duties and responsibilities
Develop, Plan and Deliver Programs and Services
- Assess hardware for LAN or WAN and make necessary recommendations for purchase;
- Assess hardware and software requirement for appropriate purchases;
- Maintain an updated knowledge of Network IT security policies;
- Manage the LAN and WAN environment;
- Proper documentation of the network for troubleshooting and proposals for purchases;
- Proper use of secure channel or encryption for data or voice communications;
- Proper use of policies to minimize the risk of virus or malware in the network;
- Maintain an inventory for all network hardware devices;
- Maintain a Network Management System;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- University graduate in computer science, or a related field, CCNA, CCNP certification is desirable;
- Must have a minimum of 5 year experiences in technical and management experience in network;
- Knowledge of networking protocols;
- Ability to interact with LANs and WAN vendors;
- Knowledge of LAN and WAN products and protocols;
- Ability to respond and successfully interact with coworkers and other departments;
- Possess good communication in English.
Working conditions
This position may require extended working hours and may include evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Any person(s) nominated by management.
