Job purpose

Assists the Manager, Marketing Communications on overseeing the creative activities including designing, production, and printing for communications products and events projects. Oversees the creative process and production of the team, managing the graphic design team and its production schedule.

Duties and responsibilities

Monitor and Oversee Financial Management of the Department

  • Assists the Manager, Marketing Communications on producing the Annual budget development, updating and monitoring during the year;
  • Assists the Manager, Marketing Communications to manage expense report and cost control, within the context of creative team.

Manage the Staff

  • Manages the activities of the team;
  • Identifies staff strengths and optimize staff skills;
  • Develops training courses to continuously increase the team skills;
  • Ensures appropriate staffing consistent with needs and within the constraints of the organization’s physical and financial resources;
  • Recruits, selects, orients and develops staff to meet standard performance;
  • Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates the marketing event operation’s work plan;
  • Assigns projects and programmatic responsibilities;
  • Reviews and evaluates work methods and procedures;
  • Meets with staff to identify and resolve problems.

Develop, Plan and Deliver Programs and Services

  • Assists with developing concepts for high quality advertising;
  • Assists with working collaboratively with partners, participates in company strategizing and makes recommendations for changes to the creative function to meet marketing changes, competitive threats or to support strategic plans;
  • Assists with analyzing the creative team, environment, processes, technologies etc., to determine areas requiring improvement, and builds and directs a creative function aligned with and supportive of those goals;
  • Assists with managing outside resources, including vendors, photographers, color separators, printers, freelancers, web materials and interactive subcontractors;
  • Assists with managing art direction, designs copywriting and production of projects;
  • Monitors the timeline with designers, copywriter and production;
  • Reviews illustrative material to determine if it conforms to standards and specifications;
  • Assists with managing photo shoots and printing sessions to ensure that the products required are obtained;
  • Prepares and justifies job estimates;
  • Quality control, including proofing, reviewing, measuring and evaluating staff’s performance, creative output and project process;
  • Presents final layouts to clients for approval;
  • Maintains NagaWorld’s branding guide (color, font style and logo);
  • Any additional task assigned by Assistant Director – Marketing Communications;
  • Any job assigned by the Management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in creative discipline such as advertising, design, creative writing/ Visual Arts, Digital Media Design, related field or equivalent preferred;
  • Minimum 3 years post under graduate experience in corporate marketing activities;
  • Knowledge in lighting, spacing, and other technical photography skills as well as editing techniques and film development;
  • Must be familiar with Mac OS platform, strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite and any 3D Designing Software;
  • Flexible in working hours and available for last minute notice for special events;
  • Ability to work closely with marketing communication team to develop messaging collateral and demo materials.

Working conditions

This position may require extended working hours and may include evenings, weekends and public holidays.
