Job purpose

The Assistant Technical Manager will direct and organize Slot and Table gaming technical operational activities, ensure efficient technical support is available at all times and that the Slot Machine Department operates in a manner which promotes guests’ perception of NagaWorld as that of an exciting entertainment experience, to ensure that all Guests (Internal / External) receive excellent service, to help instill the perception in the minds of Guests that NagaWorld is an establishment which offers excitement and unparalleled gaming experience. The Assistant Slot Technical Manager will also need to perform all duties in accordance with NagaWorld policies and within the realm of the Company vision, mission and values.

Duties and responsibilities

Monitor and Oversee Financial Management of the Department

  • Ensures development of annual budget and cost management, within the context of Slot Machine Technical Department;
  • Ensures compliance with all NagaWorld standards and Cambodian Gaming Regulations;
  • Ensures adherence to NagaWorld’s Code of Conduct, Internal Rules and Regulations at all times.

Manage the Staff

  • Ensures appropriate staffing consistent with needs and within the constraints of the organization’s physical and financial resources;
  • Recruits, selects, orients and develops staff to exceed standard performance;
  • Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates the Slot Machine Technical Department work plan; assigns projects and programmatic responsibilities; reviews and evaluates work methods and procedures; meets with staff to identify and resolves problems;
  • Focuses on career advancement of Technical staff by implementing measurable staff assessments, training curriculum and career development;
  • Complies and administers the Slot Department attendance guidelines and regulatory, departmental and company policies.

Develop, Plan and Deliver Programs and Services

  • Responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance and repairs of all slot machines;
  • Assists in planning, developing and implementing slot game and layout changes;
  • Monitors players for improper use of machinery and possible attempts for cheating and reports to management and security if such cases occur;
  • Troubleshoots and repairs any slot machines and related equipment including all circuit boards;
  • Responsible for the initial set-up and check-out of new slot machines, ensures the machines are in proper working condition;
  • Performs floor repair and preventative maintenance of all slot machines, including cleaning machines and overhauls;
  • Manages the machine repair slips and related repair logs;
  • Performs renovations or changes and Tag repairable parts noting appropriate information;
  • Assists other floor personnel when advanced troubleshooting skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education required;
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in slot machine management in a casino environment;
  • Must have in depth knowledge of the configuration and setup of gaming equipment;
  • Must have experience in the repair of Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical equipment;
  • Must be mechanically inclined with knowledge of hand tools with recent slot machine repair and installation experience;
  • Ability to set and meet high standards of service to develop a work force that embraces a culture of quality and service;
  • Strong motivator, lead by example demonstrating self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm;
  • Analytically proficient on all aspects of casino performance;
  • Experience in Casino Management System and Jackpot Media systems, prior experience in Bally SDS and Paltronics highly advantageous;
  • Solid Understanding of all aspects and facets of Slot Operations, Casino Management; System, Progressive Jackpot System, Inventory Control, Slot Marketing Technique, Staff Development Programs / Assessments;
  • Rich understanding of Slot product and Game and Jackpot configurations.

Working conditions

This position may require extended working hours and may include evenings, weekends and public holidays.
