Job purpose

The Director of Casino Marketing will lead a team responsible for developing, executing, and analyzing short and long term plans intended to increase visits, revenue and profitability from carded and un-carded casino customers.

Duties and responsibilities

Monitor and Oversee Financial Management of the Department

  • Communicate results with upper management based on approved monthly, quarterly and annual marketing plans and budgets;
  • Develop, execute and revise policies and procedures to achieve profit and volume objectives;
  • Maintain controls on financials, including labor costs, to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of operations;
  • Periodic review of reward club benefit matrix to maximize profitability within each database player segment;
  • Implement and oversee guest complimentary procedures in accordance with company policy and profitability standards.

Manage the Staff

  • Lead the on-site marketing teams to ensure flawless execution of marketing strategies including the identification of ways to increase efficiencies or improve customer service in order to maximize productivity and meet growth objectives;
  • Interviews, selects, hires and promotes team members;
  • Identify and provide the training and development required to equip employees with the tools to meet performance standards;
  • Oversee the performance management of employees including but not limited to disciplinary action and termination.

Develop, Plan and Deliver Programs and Services

  • Work directly with the Vice President to drive the development of a property calendar of promotions, entertainment and event initiatives through coordination with internal teams to achieve the most profitable outcome;
  • Formulates new promotional concepts, ideas, services, and gaming options based on data findings;
  • Oversees the strategy, design, implementation, maintenance and expansion of club promotions and events to secure profitable repeat visitation and/or attracting new members;
  • Meet established objectives by working with staff to plan short / long term goals; identify problems and implement solutions; and establish policies and procedures;
  • Works with the casino analyst to identify necessary analysis and definition of the market for growth and development and complete cost/benefit analysis on proposed and ongoing marketing programs.

Qualifications

  • 10 years related work experience in a casino marketing environment focused on service provision & operations;
  • Able to communicate in a diverse environment distinctly and persuasively in English. Reading and wrting Mandarin Chinese is a plus;
  • Working knowledge and experience using enterprise casino systems;
  • Experience working in an Integrated Resort focused on destination marketing;
  • Experience participating in a medium or large scale pre-opening project.

Working conditions

This position may require extended working hours and may include evenings, weekends and public holidays.
