Job purpose

F&B under the general guidance and supervision of the Restaurant Manager to assist in overseeing and engage in providing courteous and efficient service of Food and Beverage at the outlet.

Duties and responsibilities

Ensure compliance to rules and regulations

  • Ensures compliance with all NagaWorld’s standards or relevant industry standards during all aspects of work;
  • Ensures all employees adhere to NagaWorld’s Code of Conduct, Internal Rules and Regulations at all times.

General Job Functions

  • Reports directly to the restaurant manager and assistant manager;
  • Provides functional assistance and direction to the food and beverage outlet operation as assigned;
  • Interacts and cooperates in coordinating functions activities with other food and beverage outlets and other departments as required;
  • Assists in supervising and participate the day-to-day function of outlet employees, facilities, sales, expenses, services and maintains a high level of efficiency in the operations and ensures that the requirements of guests and the outlet standards are met;
  • Controls ongoing basis the following:
    • Quality levels of service;
    • Guest satisfaction;
    • Sanitation, cleanliness and hygiene;
    • Material supplies and groceries expenses;
    • Sufficient stocks of all equipment and linen to ensure service requirement are met;
  • Complies with and ensures that the hotels:
    • Health, safety and hygiene policy;
    • Houses rules and regulations;
    • Staff grooming and appearance standards are observed and met;
  • Conducts staff briefing and maintains good communications with outlet chef;
  • Participates in service as necessary and busy period;
  • Works with captains to ensure that all public and back-of-house areas are presentable and that all equipment is stored correctly;
  • Maintains and follows up maintenance work order needs for outlet;
  • Establishes and maintains effective employee relations;
  • Attends and contributes to outlet meeting, briefing and promotions;
  • Attends to guest’s comments, complaints or requests regarding food and beverage service quality and significant activities in supervisor’s log book and discuss with restaurant manager;
  • Ensures that all checks have been signed by guests and that figures are correct before passing on the cashier and all administration of obtaining and delivering procedures are followed;
  • Provides appropriate direction, guidance of staff:
    • Performance;
    • Training;
    • Development;
    • Capability to ensure and maintain maximum productivity;
  • Conducts all administrative work required, including but not limited to:
    • Attendance records;
    • Duty roster;
    • Guest comments card;
    • Log-book;
  • Maintains an effective working atmosphere in outlet operation by mean of good communication system between kitchens, bar, stewarding and cashier.

Qualifications

  • University graduate or diploma in related Food and Beverage discipline or equivalent education required;
  • Minimum 3 years of bar/restaurant management experience and a good understanding of accounting procedures;
  • Well versed in Chinese restaurant style and have extensive guest service experience;
  • English and Mandarin language proficiency required.

Working conditions

This position may require extended working hours and may include evenings, weekends and public holidays.
